This year’s New York Guitar Festival takes over Bryant Park on Aug. 14 and Aug. 15. The lineup on August 14 includes Goran Ivanovic & Fareed Haque, both of whom are notable guitar soloists, but they’ve also made a couple of recordings as a duo. One of those albums is called IndoBalkan, reflecting Ivanovic’s Croatian background and Haque’s Pakistani and Chilean roots. This year's New York Guitar Festival, spans virtuosic classical guitar, Brazilian popular music, punk-jazz, and folk-based improvisations in two free nights at Bryant Park.
