Kean and Bennett face off in high-stakes NJ midterm debate

We're just over a month away from Election Day on Nov. 3. There's a lot of focus around the country on the midterm races that will decide which party holds the majority in Congress for the remainder of President Trump’s second term. And in New Jersey, the most-watched race is happening in the 7th district. 

On Sept. 27, Republican incumbent Tom Kean, Jr. and Democratic challenger, Rebecca Bennett meet for their one and only debate. WNYC New Jersey politics reporter Mike Hayes joins Weekend Edition host David Furst for a preview.
