Celery and fennel are produce cousins, and they're a key part of helping local Greenmarkets make the transition from the warm weather to colder temperatures.

Amelia Tarpey is the Program and Publicity Manager for Grow NYC Greenmarkets. She says celery and fennel take center stage this time of year with their aromatic flavors and crunchy stalks. A bunch of celery or fennel can cost between $3 and $5 at local markets this season.
