DoorDash agrees to pay $131.5 million after underpaying delivery workers

Thousands of DoorDash delivery workers are set to get thousands of dollars, after a settlement between the app and the city of New York.  Mayor Mamdani announced the agreement at an event earlier today.

City Hall says its the largest worker settlement in New York City history and the largest involving food delivery workers in U.S. history.

Sam Levine leads the city’s Department of Consumer and Worker Protection and he joins WNYC's Sean Carlson to talk more about it.
