GlobalFest is just what it sounds like – an annual festival of groups playing music from around the globe. Normally it happens in January, but GlobalFest has been popping up in some of the usual summer festivals this year. Tonight, on August 7, they partner with BRIC Celebrate Brooklyn on a globetrotting concert that features Colombian dance music from Yeison Landero, Creole jazz from Sally Baby’s Silver Dollars, Korean zither music from Sunju Park, and the veteran Ukrainian folk-rock band DakhaBrakha. They headline tonight’s free global music party at The Lena Horne Bandshell in Prospect Park.
