U.S. Senator Andy Kim wants change after being pepper sprayed at immigration detention center Delaney Hall in Newark

WNYC News | May 27

Protests are continuing outside of Delaney Hall, the federal immigrant detention center in Newark.

On Tuesday, protesters posted barriers outside the facility in order to block vehicles they thought were being used to transfer detainees amid a hunger strike that began on Friday. Video shows that during demonstrations earlier this week, ICE agents pepper-sprayed protesters, including New Jersey Senator Andy Kim.

Senator Kim joins WNYC's Sean Carlson to discuss the latest out of the controversial facility.
