WNYC News | Sep 11

Star conductor Gustavo Dudamel officially kicks off his tenure as the New York Philharmonic’s Music and Artistic Director this week after being named to the post more than three years ago. The orchestra’s new season kicks off tonight with a performance at Radio City Music Hall.

Elliott Forrest is the midday host on our sister station WQXR. He attended Dudamel’s introductory press conference earlier this week and he joins WNYC's Sean Carlson to talk more about it.
