Horse Lords, Jules Reidy, Silk Fence at Pioneer Works
Oct. 8. 8PM. $29.94
When the four members of Horse Lords walk out on stage, with their sax, electric guitar, bass, and drums, you might expect some kind of rock band. Actually, that’s exactly what you get: some kind of rock band. What kind is up for grabs. Horse Lords mixes the sounds of contemporary classical music, prog rock, and elements of African and Indonesian rhythms into a complex, shifting web of sound. Their latest album is called Demand To Be Taken To Heaven Alive!, and is "an illuminating starting point for eternal nowness", (Heavy-trip.com). The experimental rock band Horse Lords plays Oct. 8 at Pioneer Works in Brooklyn.
