Dan Deacon – "Become a Mountain Suite" (Soundcheck Podcast)

Dan Deacon established himself as a mad scientist of electronic music with his 2007 album Spiderman of the Rings and his wild, dance-oriented live shows. But Deacon is also classically trained, and lately has been doing a very different sort of dance music, working with noted choreographer Justin Peck. He’s also become a prolific soundtrack composer for films and TV.  Deacon and a large chamber ensemble trooped into our studio to play this version of the “Become a Mountain Suite.” Dan Deacon and his mini-orchestra play a full set for us in the latest episode of the Soundcheck Podcast.
