It's Bat Week in New York

WNYC News | Oct 26

With Halloween around the corner, ghosts, skeletons, and bats may be on your mind. But there’s more important reasons to care about bats.

New York State has marked this week “bat week” to raise awareness about the critical role of bats in the environment and their vulnerable status.

Nic Comparato is a bat biologist and Rutgers University Ph.D. candidate who founded the Urban Bat Project NYC and he joins WNYC's Sean Carlson to talk more about the importance of bats in the city.
