The Democratic Socialists of America scored major wins in New York's primary elections this week. The DSA candidates who were endorsed by New York City’s most prominent Democratic Socialist, Mayor Mamdani, won party nominations. And some upstate candidates made inroads as well. 

WNYC Albany reporter Jon Campbell joins Weekend Edition host David Furst to explain what’s happening in the state and what next for the DSA.
