WNYC News | Jul 18

Summer is a season that invites us to get out into nature. So in honor of the season, we preview three new documentaries that celebrate the natural world. And yes, a locally famous owl is the subject of one of them.

Thom Powers is a co-founder of the DOC NYC festival and host of the Pure Nonfiction podcast. He joins Weekend Edition host David Furst to talk about "Mary Oliver: Saved By The Beauty Of The World," "A Life Illuminated" and "Wild Inside."
