Captain Nia Gilliam reflects on her 9/11 experience at Newark Airport

Airline pilot Captain Nia Gilliam was in the cockpit on the tarmac at Newark Airport on the morning of September 11, 2001. In her memoir, “Cleared for Takeoff,” Captain Gillam describes sitting in the co-pilot seat, watching smoke rise from the Twin Towers. She joins WNYC's Tiffany Hanssen to talk more about that day and her experiences.
