NYC's Chief Technology Officer, Lisa Gelobter, talks new PIT Crews and her vision for tech in the city

The Mamdani administration has launched an initiative they are calling the "Public Interest Technology (PIT) Crew." 

Officials said the initiative is designed to build digital solutions to public problems, starting with an online complaint portal to enforce "Click to Cancel" protections.

The city's new Chief Technology Officer and Commissioner, Lisa Gelobter, joined WNYC host Michael Hill to explain what these PIT Crews will look like, and explain her vision for technology in the city.
