Philip Weiss is the author of American Taboo: The Murder of a Peace Corps Volunteer (HarperCollins, 2004) and Cock-a-doodle-doo (Farrar, Strauss and Giroux, 1994). He worked for many years as a journalist in New York and has been a contributing writer to The New York Times Magazine, Esquire, and Harper's. He lives in the Hudson Valley.
