New Orleans is probably America’s greatest music city, yet a bunch of white guys with guitars is probably not the first image that comes to mind when you think of NOLA. With four albums under its belt, Rotary Downs is a stalwart of the New Orleans indie music scene, known for consistently pumping our smart and vaguely psychedelic art rock. But for all of the band's rock trappings, even a cursory listen to “Montrez-Vous” betrays its Big Easy roots. Tinkling triangles and a bouncy New Orleans backbeat undergirds all the music's carefully layered musical chaos.
