Power Back on at Newark Airport, Surrounding Areas

WNYC News | Feb 6, 2011

The power is back on at Newark Liberty International Airport after an equipment failure at a Northern New Jersey power station sparked an outage that left three terminals and parts of New Jersey in the dark, officials said.

Power company PSE&G said power has been restored to the 20,000 customers affected by the outage, which was caused by an equipment failure at an electrical station in Elizabeth, New Jersey, officials said.

Terminals A, B and C suffered power outages, according to the Port Authority.
