Special Guest: Susan Sontag

Studio 360 | Mar 9, 2011

Kurt Andersen and writer Susan Sontag talk about the ways artists portray war, how they respond to it, and why we need artists to help us understand it.

Susan Sontag is a central figure in American intellectual life, a playwright, and the author of several collections of essays and novels. Her newest book, Regarding the Pain of Others, looks at the imagery of atrocity, and comes out next month from Farrar Straus and Giroux.
