#3035: Fake Orchestras

The band name may say “Orchestra,” but the groups’ sounds are not what you’d expect. Hear Slavic folk, Latin jazz, African guitars and balafons come together in music by The Fake Orchestra. Also, listen to music from that variable group of musical friends, the Penguin Café Orchestra, along with music performed by the Senegalese Afro-Cuban group called Orchestra Baobob. Plus, cellist Lori Goldston’s Black Cat Orchestra, the small big band that is Either/Orchestra, and the quiet slow pop duo called Susanna and the Magical Orchestra. And more.
