Firefighter unions fuming over the proposed closure of 20 fire companies as a budget-cutting measure marched across the Brooklyn Bridge to a rally outside of City Hall on Friday. Mayor Michael Bloomberg has defended the decision, pointing to decreased response times and fewer fire deaths. The city has a month to finalize its budget.
