2018's Best Books, A Cocktail Expert, 'Charlie for the Culture'

Gregory Cowles, a senior editor at The New York Times Book Review, joins us to discuss their list of "The 10 Best Books of 2018."

As the senior drinks columnist at The Daily Beast, he has a weekly column on the culture of cocktails, spirits, and drinking. He has made a drink in honor of our show, aptly named The All Of It:

Stir well with cracked ice:

1 1/2 oz straight rye whiskey

1 oz rich sherry, such as Lustau East India solera

1/2 oz Amaro Braulio

Strain into chilled cocktail glass and twist lemon peel over the top.
