Five NYC Questions for Missy Higgins
1)Â Best place to grab a cheap meal?Â
La Esquina (114 Kenmare, Nolita). "I almost always go there when I'm back in New York. I saw Lenny Kravitz walk in there once too, which is pretty cool."
2) Best park?
Prospect Park. "There's always people lounging about on the hills. I do like Central Park... but Prospect Park has more of a grassy feel to it. It's more loungey."
3) Best concert venue?
Radio City Music Hall. "I haven't played there yet, but I'm going to be playing there soon with Gotye. [It's] the most stunning."
4) Favorite interaction with a New Yorker (so far)?
Being mistaken for a member of the Grateful Dead. "I was wearing a beanie and a scarf, and a homeless guy stopped me because he thought I was someone from the Grateful Dead.... I'm like, 'I can assure you, I'm not!'"Â
5) Best place for Aussies to hang out in NYC?
Not sure. "There doesn't seem like there's a place where Aussies hang out in New York. They're kind of scattered and doing their own thing."
