Jakob Dylan And The Wallflowers 'Reboot The Mission'
Jakob Dylan launched his roots rock band, The Wallflowers, in the early nineties. Numerous charting hits and Grammy awards followed. But for the last seven years, The Wallflowers have been doing what, well, wallflowers do -- sitting it out.
Dylan has kept busy with his solo career during that time, but now, he's got the band back together for a brand new album called Glad All Over. Dylan joins us to talk about his love for The Clash (and working with Mick Jones), finding a superfan in Brian Fallon of the Gaslight Anthem, and why he doesn't write confessional songs.
"I'm in my songs" he told us, "it's impossible not to be in them. But I don't write confessional songs. I'm not exercising, or exorcising, anything I need to get off my chest personally. I like to tell stories."
