Internet Radio Fairness Act

In recent weeks there’s been a lot of talk about a new bill in Congress called the Internet Radio Fairness Act -- a law that would change the way that services like Spotify and Pandora pay musicians for streaming their music. The companies say they need the act to stay in business, that taxes and fees are too much -- while musicians have come out against the bill saying there’s no way they can stay in business on the pennies they get from internet radio. Joe Levy, editor at Billboard and Soundcheck regular joins us to look at the issues.
