George Steel and Phil Kline Indulge Stravinsky Obsession

On Wednesday, May 29 at 8 am and 8 pm, as part of Rite of Spring Fever on Q2 Music, conductor and New York City Opera general manager George Steel joins host Phil Kline for a listening session of the 1958 Leonard Bernstein Rite recording with the New York Philharmonic.

Steel offers in-depth commentary into the feverish, multifaceted innovations of Stravinsky's masterpiece, as well as the brilliance of the iconic composer's pre-Rite music and later forays into Neo-classicism and serialism. 

Q2 Music's Rite of Spring Fever is a 24-hour marathon on Wednesday, May 29 hosted by Phil Kline of contrasting interpretations of Stravinsky's masterpiece and a complementary web portal of interviews, testimonials and interactive features.
