The homegrown live hip-hop outfit Dujeous has been around since the '90s, but, surprisingly, they've only released one proper full-length. Demanding touring schedules (which included a recent performance at WNYC's Greene Space) and numerous collaborative projects with the likes of Al Green, Lauryn Hill and others kept them out of the studio, but in the meantime the group developed a formidable rep and formed ties with some fierce artists. This has come in handy; Dujeous is set to release its second album Day In Day Out this summer, and on this track, soul goddess and Dujeous comrade Sharon Jones supplies a catchy chorus. In between refrains, MCs Mojo, Rheturik and Mas D display their solid skills, backed by bandmate Dave Guy's soulful trumpet.
