On Saturday night, WNYC presents a live broadcast of the Kirov Orchestra's concert at the New Jersey Performing Arts Center. Today, we hear what its colorful conductor, Valery Gergiev, has to say about music, culture, war, and much more. Also, Symphony Space is celebrating the music of Joni Mitchell tomorrow in a 12 hour marathon concert, so we have a visit by Limor Tomer, curator of the event, and one of the performers, Hawaiian guitarist Jeffrey Peterson. Note: This program was preempted because of breaking news coverage, and as a result there is no archival audio available.
