Today on Soundcheck, Ara Guzelimian, Artistic Advisor of Carnegie Hall, joins us to discuss programming at state-of-the-art performance space Zankel Hall. In addition, we have the pleasure of discussion and performance from The Cassatt String Quartet, celebrated for its commitment to American music and for its members' tireless leadership as teachers in residence at the Henry Street Music School in NY, the University of Pennsylvania, and Syracuse University. Lastly, we speak with WNYC’s audio preservationist Andy Lanset, who leads an archeological expedition through our archives in celebration of the 60th anniversary of WNYC-FM.
