Mozart and Morocco

Soundcheck | May 3, 2010
Nicholas McGegan is in New York to conduct a production of Il Re Pastore, an opera written by Mozart when he was only 19 and is seen as a prelude to his more renowned later works. Today, this celebrated English conductor will be on Soundcheck to discuss the opera and the work that has gone into its staging. Also, a Soundcheck favorite, music writer Anastasia Tsiouclas, makes a triumphant return to the program to continue sharing her recordings and recollections of the Fez festival that was held earlier this summer in Morocco.
