How do you get to Carnegie Hall?

Soundcheck | May 3, 2010
Soundcheck is hitting the road for a live broadcast from the famous Carnegie Hall. In honor of the opening of Zankel Hall, Soundcheck speaks with a musician and a composer involved in the festivities. First, Cuban-born jazz pianist Omar Sosa joins us. Sosa, considered one of the ambassadors of the new Cuban jazz sound, gives a concert with his octet this weekend. Next, composer Steve Reich --called one of the greatest living composers-- offers some perspective on the importance of Zankel Hall. Reich also tells us which of his works will be performed at Zankel Hall this weekend.
