Rappers and Rockers Trade Notes

Soundcheck | May 3, 2010
This month, Lil Wayne's long-delayed rock album, Rebirth, is finally slated for release - and though a bold move, it isn't the first of its kind. Today, we'll hear about the history of rock-rap fusion from Bill Adler, hip hop historian and former Def Jam executive, and Tavia Nyong'o, Associate Professor of Performance Studies at NYU.

Tell us: What do you think about collaborations between rock and rap artists? Which ones work? Which don't? Leave a comment -- we'll read some of them during the show today.
