#4304: Music for the Anthropocene

New Sounds | Dec 3, 2019

For this New Sounds hear music for the Anthropocene, featuring works by composer and vocalist Shara Nova (My Brightest Diamond), composer and producer Pascal Le Boeuf for violist Jessica Meyer, along with works by composer and National Sawdust artistic director Paola Prestini and American minimalist Philip Glass. Plus, music from NYC-based composer Mike Sayre, an elegy for the windswept ice shelves of Antarctica, and music by violinist, looper, and composer Emily Wells that all respond to climate change and humanity’s effect on the planet and the other species we share it with.
