One of the hottest rising stars in the classical-music world, the Canadian conductor Yannick Nézet-Séguin made his highly anticipated New York debut just last summer, at the Mostly Mozart Festival. Now the 34-year-old maestro is taking the podium at the Metropolitan Opera, leading Bizet's Carmen. Nézet-Séguin joins us to talk about his busy career and the state of classical music.
