The Sounds of Treme

Soundcheck | May 3, 2010
David Simon and Eric Overmyer, creators of the cult HBO’s The Wire, are now behind a new series on the cable network based in New Orleans: "Treme." We find out how a show about musicians playing carpenters and musicians playing musicians in the Post-Katrina Crescent City might change the image of the city for the rest of the country. Joining us is Kermit Ruffins, a New Orleans trumpeter and character in the series; and Larry Blumenfeld, jazz critic who writes for the Wall Street Journal and the Village Voice.
