Zlata's Diary

The Leonard Lopate Show | May 10, 2010
In 1991, Zlata Filipovic began keeping a diary about her life in Sarajevo. When she started writing, she was an 11-year-old preoccupied with school, music, and friends. But within a year, she was living in a war zone as the Bosnian conflict raged in her home town. She’s here today with a look back at those years.
