Fog Walker

Spinning on Air | May 18, 2010
Fog is the name of a band, though it's basically just one guy, Andrew Broder. Broder is based in Minneapolis, and started performing as a Hip Hop turntablist years ago, but now his music has evolved into a rich amalgam of acoustic instruments, turntables, vocals and bird songs. Broder joins host David Garland, via telephone, to present the new Fog album "Ether Teeth." It's full of unusual songs, graceful chaos, and personal vision. Then, joining Garland in the studio, singer David Driver professes his love for the music of Scott Walker, and gives us a preview of his performance of the Scott Walker Songbook, which will take place next week (May 29) at Joe's Pub.
More information on Fog can be found at the band's Web site and at its label Web site.
