New Sounds | May 24, 2010
Part three of the New Sounds Live/New York Guitar Festival Marathon Concert, a nine-hour extravaganza recorded in January 2002 at the 92 Street Y is slated for this edition of New Sounds. Ronn McFarlane plays "Passameze" by Adrian LeRoy; Min Xiao Fen plays "CAGE" by Tan Dun; Keba Cissoko offers up more West African songs for kora; Brad Shepik dazzles in the Invocation for Turkish saz; and the Brazilian Guitar Quartet plays "Variacoes Serias" by Ronaldo Miranda.
