Fashion Night Out

WNYC News | Jul 12, 2010

It's Fashion Week in Bryant Park. It's the last time designers will set up their fall runways in the park. Next September, Fashion Week moves its tents to its new home in Lincoln Center. Tonight, retailers citywide will be open until 11 PM, as part of a worldwide initiative to boost the fashion industry. More than 700 stores in New York are participating with in-store celebrations, celebrity appearances, and free or discounted clothes and services.

Fashion's Night Out is the brainchild of Vogue editor Anna Wintour, who will make an appearance tonight at Macy's in the Queens Center Mall to autograph t-shirts and showcase fall trends.
