BAM Cinemafest

WNYC News | Jul 12, 2010

Eighteen films, an all-night movie marathon, and movies in the park. that's some of what's happening as part of the BAM CinemaFest, The Brooklyn film festival marks the 10th anniversary of BAM's Cinematek -- a series devoted to art house films.

Florence Almozini is the director of programming at the Cinematek. She's got one principle standard for choosing the films that end up on BAM's screens:

ALMOZINI: If I think about the film for more than one day or two days or three days, I know it's really strong.

Almozini says she hopes the films she's curated will be important for decades. The festival at BAM continues through July 2.
