Kerik Back in Court

WNYC News | Jul 12, 2010

Later today, former Police Commissioner Bernard Kerik will be in federal court for a pre-trial court session.

Facing multiple federal corruption charges, Kerik is alleged to have concealed payoffs from a mob-linked company seeking to do business with the city.

The indictment includes allegations that go back to his tenure as Commissioner of Corrections before being elevated to lead the Police Department.

In June 2006, Kerik pled guilty to 2 New York state misdemeanor charges brought by Bronx District Attorney Robert Johnson.
