Talks Resume in Stagehands' Strike

The Broadway stagehands' union and theater producers say they'll return to the bargaining table today. The agreement comes one week after negotiations collapsed and kept more than two dozen shows dark during the lucrative Thanksgiving holiday week.

The walkout began November 10th. The contract dispute between the League of American Theatres and Producers and the union, Local One, centers on how many stagehands are required to open a Broadway show and keep it running.

One musical that had been shut down -- "Dr. Seuss' 'How the Grinch Stole Christmas!' The Musical" -- re-opened Friday, after a state Supreme Court Justice found that the production was under a separate contract with the union.
