New York, NY —
A teenager is dead and three others are injured after a spray of bullets on a subway train in the Bronx early Sunday morning. Police say a single young gunman shot four people in front of other passengers on a Number 5 train heading north toward the East 180th Street station. It happened shortly after 2:30 a.m.
The gunman apparently slipped off the train when it came into the Eastchester/Dyre Avenue station. Police say an argument between two groups of boys in their early teens sparked the shooting. Police haven't made any arrests.
One victim died at the scene; the three surviving victims are in stable condition at Our Lady of Mercy Medical Center.
