Arrests in Newark Murders

A 28-year-old man and a 15-year-old boy are in custody and facing murder charges in last weekend's Newark slayings. Three promising college students from the city were killed execution-style and a fourth was wounded late Saturday night.

Authorities say they expect more arrests. The arrests yesterday came in a series of dramatic events which included the surrender of the elder suspect, Jose Carranza directly to Mayor Cory Booker. During a news conference yesterday announcing the arrest of the 15-year-old and the search for Carranza.

Booker got word that Carranza wanted to surrender. Carranza is being held on $1 million bail. The 15-year-old is being held pending a detention hearing.
