Anti-War Activists Gather for Midtown Protest

CROWD: What do we want? Troops out! When do we want it? Now!

REPORTER: As many as 2000 demonstrators marched through the city in protest of the Iraq war. Union members, war veterans and ordinary New Yorkers against the war joined yesterday's demonstration - one of several staged across the country this weekend - marking the 4th anniversary of the US invasion of Iraq. Eddie Davis was part of the crowd that passed the Public Library and the offices of US Senators Charles Schumer and Hillary Clinton.

DAVIS: It's actions like this that really influence millions of people in our country. In the beginning, you know, it's a minority. Now, it's a majority.

REPORTER: Yesterday's march ended with a rally outside the United Nations. The event was organized by the New York chapter of the group United for Peace and Justice.
