Port Authority Approves Budget

The Port Authority's board of commissioners has approved a $5.7 billion budget for next year. The board also approved a 10 year capital plan worth $26.1 billion.

The capital plan includes spending to redevelop the World Trade Center site and build a new rail tunnel under the Hudson, between Manhattan and New Jersey. The chair of the Port Authority, Anthony Coscia says there will be no toll increases next year on its on metro-area bridges and tunnels.
