Paterson Defends Budget Cuts on Brian Lehrer

Governor David Paterson is facing stiff opposition from legislators, unions and advocacy groups, for his proposed budget cuts. He says the cuts are necessary if the state is to plug its multi-billion-dollar budget gap. Speaking on the Brian Lehrer Show today, Paterson explains how he plans on compensating for a $3 billion shortfall, amidst the dysfunction in Albany.
