In Studio: Galeet Dardashti

Soundcheck | Sep 13, 2010

Some of the Bible’s wildest stories involve women.  And some of those stories have inspired the new songs by Galeet Dardashti, the singer, anthropologist, and keeper of a long tradition of Persian Jewish culture.

She joins us to talk about her latest album, The Naming, and to perform live in our studio.

Galeet Dardashti performs tonight (Sept. 14) at Le Poisson Rouge at 6:30 p.m.
