Anne Akiko Meyers

Soundcheck | Sep 15, 2010

Violinist Anne Akiko Meyers had a major label deal and was touring with orchestras by the time she was 21. Today, she manages a more varied career: performing during Fashion Week in New York; touring with crossover artists like trumpeter Chris Botti and Il Divo; and releasing eclectic concept albums like her latest Seasons… Dreams. She shares the album with us today, and talks about balancing a career and motherhood.

Anne Akiko Meyers performs at Le Poisson Rouge on Sunday, September 19 at 6:30 p.m. She will be joined by frequent collaborator Reiko Uchida (piano) and they will play the music of Beethoven, Debussy, Wagner, Fauré, and Schnittke. For more information, please visit the Le Poisson Rouge web site.
