Electric Lady's Legacy

Soundcheck | Sep 16, 2010

In 1970, Jimi Hendrix built a recording studio inside a former nightclub on 8th Street in Greenwich Village. After he died, Led Zeppelin, Kiss, Patti Smith and many others made landmark albums there. Today, Electric Lady is the studio of choice for clients like Coldplay, the Strokes and Interpol.

We hear about the history of the facility from architect and acoustician John Storyk, who designed Electric Lady with Jimi Hendrix.
