Of late the instrument has become a selective ingredient that has been both wisely used and ill-abused. Today: a Soundcheck Smackdown debate on the saxophone in popular music: yackety yes or just plain yuck. Also: a look at this year's winner of Canada's Polaris Prize, Les Chemins De Verre by the French-singing Karkwa. And: Steven Wilson of prog rock group Porcupine Tree joins us to talk about his thoughts on being a musician in the digital age.
